The lovely Danielle Peazer guides you through the ultimate fat burning workout.

Interval workouts should be short and sweet! They comprise of intensive bursts of exercise, followed by brief periods of rest. They are intended to get the blood pumping and the metabolism going. Simply put, a high intensity, interval workout will get you faster, fat burning results that last longer!

Additional advice

Do not attempt this workout if you have any back or knee issues issues, are pregnant or if you are less than 12 weeks post partum.

This is an advanced workout and people with knee or ankle issues should seek medical advice before participating as there is full body impact involved.

We advise that a mat is possibly needed for the final exercise but that’s it – no other equipment!

The principle is to exercise flat out for 40 seconds, then rest for 20 seconds, so you’re exerting the maximum effort in a short time, then changing the moves.
As participants get fitter they should aim to complete up to 5 rounds of this workout, but work their way up to it. There are non impact options which you are encouraged to take if you are new to interval training, but try to push yourself a little more every time you perform this workout to get the best possible results!
