Kickboxing Strength Training

A brief summary of a 7 week strength training/testing block that took place last year. Videos will always be released late to ensure sparring footage is outdated for coming fights.
Strength cycle followed a powerlifting split (squat day, bench day and Olympic weightlifting/Deadlift day). Assistance exercises not shown.
Returning to kickboxing entailed bagwork, padwork and some training with competitive fighters (hands-down head movement and sparring).
In hindsight, volume was very low in some weeks, even whilst seeking the minimum-dose response and trying to get closer to a fighting weight. Future strength cycles will incorporate a wider range of exercises.
Following cycles focused on more explosive exercises and increasing work capacity; coming soon.
